The Sweetest week of the year
Between March and April, the magic happens, in these month is the Easter. A lot of People adore this week, because they can relax and have some time alone with God. Definitely my favorite part of the Easter is when my grandmother prepares many delicious sweets.
If you visit The Colombia's caribbean coast in Easter, you should try in every streets a diferent sweet, they are of many types, colors and flavors, they are made from fruits and sugar, and you can find them in the streets in a small stands.
My favorite sweet is the sweet yam, this candy is made with yam, milk , sugar, vanilla and raisins.
First the yam is peeled, and put to cook, after the boiled yam is ground and mixed with milk and the excess water from the cooking.
This mixture is put into the fire and added sugar. It is stirred constantly until it becomes thick. After that you can add a little of vanilla, and several raisins.
After the sweet is ready to serve, you can accompany with crackers.
